The Lamesa Boys and Girls Club is turning 60 Saturday, and organizers are hosting a birthday party Friday to celebrate. Everyone is invited for cake, tours and open house from 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m., Friday at the club’s facility at 400 N. 7th Street. “I’m proud to be here after 60 years,” said Tammy Wyatt, club director. “I’m looking forward to see what more that the future holds for this club and the kids.” For adults who benefited from the club’s facilities, there will be photo albums from the 1970s and 1980s to look through.
