Borden County has been awarded almost two million dollars in financial assistance from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund for design and construction costs associated with potable water system improvements. The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) board approved Borden County’s request for financial assistance this past Monday, awarding the county $1,285,000, in a 25-year loan at 0 percent interest, and $700,000 in loan forgiveness, which the county does not have to pay back.
