Investigators are still seeking to determine the cause of a fire late Monday night that destroyed a mobile home at the corner of 6th St. and Ave. K. “There were no utilities there, so it’s suspicious,” Lamesa Fire Chief Larry Duyck said. He said Tuesday after noon that investigators also had not yet been able to locate the man who was renting the residence. “We know the area (of the house) where the fire started but we’re not sure yet what caused it,” Duyck said.
