Bitter cold taking icy grip

It isn’t likely to break the all-time record low temperature here but weather conditions over the weekend will be bone-chilling and dangerously cold. In fact, it is now expected to get even colder than what forecasters had earlier been predicting. The National Weather Service (NWS) office in Midland on Friday evening was projecting a low temperature of about zero on Sunday night and just 2 degrees above zero on Monday night.
