Concepcion Bañuelos and Christine Vera were reccognized on Thursday as the Lamesa school district’s Teachers of the Year for 2018-2019. Each was presented a Golden Apple trophy at a staff appreciation luncheon hosted by the school board and administration. Superintendent Jim Knight said both Bañuelos and Vera are very deserving of the recognition, as indicated by the applause they received from their peers at the luncheon.
