Authorities are seeking information regarding a fire which torched a vacant residence Saturday morning in the 1100 block of S. 3rd St. Fire Chief Larry Duyck said the cause of the fire was arson. “It was definitely set,” he said. “A fire was set in each room.” The fire basically destroyed the interior of the structure and got into the attic. Because the fire was reported just after 10 a.m. Saturday, Duyck is hoping someone may have seen something that will help them identify who set the blaze. “We’re hoping somebody saw someone there that morning,” Duyck said.
