High school narrowly misses move up to 5A classification ANDREWS – School officials said all along it was going to be too close to call—and they were spot on with that assessment. The UIL’s realignment cutoff numbers released this week have Andrews High missing the Class 5A small school ranks by a mere three students. It’s the closest the district has been to a move—in 2018 AHS missed by 10. Timing appeared to be everything for Andrews ISD regarding the enrollment submittal date this year. The 5A D-2 cutoff was 1,210—just three more than AHS’ 1,207 submitted in early October.
