Proposals for ballpark project come in higher than expected ANDREWS – Contractor proposals for the Lakeside Park Ball Field project opened at Monday’s commissioners court meeting came in much higher than anticipated. Commissioners approved around $1.5 million in Waste Control Specialists’ funding for the project to revive the Lakeside Park fields and improve those at the Sports Complex. The Andrews Baseball Association initially proposed the project to the Community Legacy Committee, which, in turn, recommended it to the court. But two contractor proposals opened Monday were more than twice the amount approved for the project. The low proposal of $3 million came from J.C.
