Longtime Terry County sheriff resigns, announces retirement BROWNFIELD – To the surprise of many, Terry County Sheriff Larry Gilbreath announced his retirement on Monday morning with a letter of resignation to the Commissioners’ Court. Timothy Click, who has served as Chief Deputy for the last year, was sworn in as Sheriff in a ceremony on Tuesday afternoon in the Terry County Courthouse.
