Order prompts postponement of annual Gaines County Rodeo SEMINOLE – Due to Governor Abbott’s recent order to limit large gatherings to 100 people, the Gaines County Rodeo, previously set for July 16-18, has been postponed. “We’re now looking at the second weekend in September,” said Gaines County Riding Club President Butch Williams. “I got a call yesterday (Monday), suggesting that we would not be able to social distance with the large crowd we are expecting,” Williams said.
