Alcohol sales become issue for proposed downtown restaurant

Among a packed audience attending a special meeting Monday, Lamesa City Council members took a wait-and-see approach when it came to a proposed Italian restaurant selling alcohol near a church on the city’s downtown Square. Their approach is the only stance they could take regarding the location of the proposed One Guy from Italy restaurant. The issue is out of city hands.
