Action by the City Council Tuesday night to add an additional dispatcher at the police department during peak times should benefit all residents of Lamesa in addition to first-responders, according to Fire Chief Larry Duyck. “This is a win-win for everybody,” Duyck told the council. Mayor Josh Stevens said the request for an extra dispatcher came up during a meeting between city and council officials to discuss agreements for various services shared by the two entities.
