The overnight update of local COVID-19 cases on the South Plains Public Health District’s website contained what might be considered a tiny bit of good news - for Dawson County, at least. The total number of confirmed COVID cases in Dawson County actually dropped from 113 on Tuesday morning to 112 on Wednesday. That’s because one case which had been counted as part of Dawson County’s total was removed because the individual actually lives in Martin County, according to the website.
