Makayla Alaniz and Col-ten Terry each came away with first-place awards as a number of of Dawson County 4-H members competed in the district archery contest on May 18 at the Floyd County Friends Unity Center in Lockney. Alaniz won first place in the Recurve Aided category in the Juniors age group with a score of 87. Terry placed first in the Barebow competition in the Intermediate age group with a score of 168.
