Wayne Smith has been on the board of the Dal Paso Museum since before the organization moved to its current location in 1987. Smith joined the board in 1968 while the museum building was located on the west part of town. Board member Judith Holladay described Smith as “a walking archive for museum and county history.” According to Holladay, Smith is the only remaining charter board member on the current museum board.
