An attempt to burglarize a home while he already was on probation for two prior felonies has resulted in prison time for 40-year-old Ramon Iglesias Alvear. District Judge Reed Filley this past Wednesday sentenced Alvear to serve two six-year prison terms in the Texas prison system. Alvear will be allowed to serve both sentences at the same time, with credit for about nine months already spent in custody.
