Texas’s State Capitol provided an exciting setting on Jan. 9 for Borden High School’s Trent Collins and Madi Cole. Receiving rankings from five judges, the senior duo accomplished a rare feat when they took first and second in the UIL’s State Congressional Debate contest. This marks the third state champion in six years for BHS in this event that started in 2014. Zach Mc-Means, Class of 2014, won the Inaugural UIL State Congressional Debate contest.
