Lamesa Area Chamber of Commerce organizers have enough candy for Halloween’s Trunk-or-Treat festivities. They just don’t have enough people to hand it out. “Candy is not the problem this year. It’s people signing up for booth space,” said Chamber President Karen Mize. The Chamber offers booth spaces for people distributing candy from their tables or car trunks, and for food vendors selling their wares. Booth spots are $10 each. Areas for food vendors cost $25. “That money goes back to the elementary schools,” Mize said. Only about 20 people so far have signed up for the spaces.
