A choice of movies and food will be available when Lamesa’s Movieland Theater holds its annual membership drive event on Feb. 28.Established as a non-profit operation almost 21 years ago, Movieland’s membership drives help keep the theater operating by providing funding for new equipment and upgrades to the building.“We couldn’t do what we do without the amazing support we get from the people of Lamesa,” said Mike Roy, the theater’s longtime manager.“It’s just a wonderful thing to live in a small town where people want you to be successful, and Lamesa really wants this theater to succeed.”Roy said the money ...
