When school resumes at the Dawson school in Welch next month, a fixture for more than four decades will be missing. Vicki Gary recently retired from teaching elementary students at Dawson for 41 years. A reception for Gary is planned at 7 p.m. next Saturday, Aug. 3, in the Dawson school cafeteria.
