Dawson freshman Malaki Hilario proved himself as somebody to watch for in the future after falling just short of advancing to regional from the the District 7A cross country meet at Lamesa’s Forrest Park. Hilario finish 11th in the three-mile race. Only the Top 10 individual finishers at each district meet advance to regionals. “He was only something like 10 seconds out of it which really isn’t much in a three-mile race,” Dawson Coach John Hodges said.
