Librarians at Dawson County Public Library announced the winner of the Texas Bluebonnet Award in assemblies at North Elementary School this past Friday morning and afternoon. The Texas Bluebonnet Award is an annual statewide contest that allows Texas children to choose their favorite book out of a selection. Students in grades three through six are presented with a list of 20 books. After they read five books on the list, they have the opportunity to vote for their favorite.
