Auditions for the Lamesa Community Players’ Spring Show, “The Savannah Sipping Society,” will be held Monday and Tuesday, Jan. 6-7 at 6:30 p.m. at the theater at 214 N. Austin Ave. The show will be directed by Kent Rinewalt and Virginia Leonard. In this delightful, laugh-a-minute comedy, four unique Southern women, all needing to escape the sameness of their day-to-day routines, are drawn together by fate – and an impromptu happy hour – and decide it’s high to reclaim the enthusiasm they’ve lost through the years. Rehearsals will be held two times per week and will be decided upon with the cast members.
