“Ripcord,” a comedy by David Lindsay-Abaire, will be the first production of 2019 for the Lamesa Community Players. The group originally had planned to present “The 39 Steps,” but has canceled plans for that production. Auditions for “Ripcord” will be held at 6:30 p.m. this coming Monday and Tuesday at the LCP theater, 214 North Austin Avenue, in Lamesa. The play chronicles the “one-upmanship” between two tenacious and cantankerous residents of a senior living facility. Everyone is invited to audition.
