Dawson County Public Library has rolled out a six-week schedule of planned activities for the summer.
Acosta retires from prison after 30 years
After three decades as a correctional officer for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Preston Smith Unit Sgt. Simon Acosta has served his time. He turned in his uniform, handcuffs, radio and badge this past Wednesday.
