The Golden Tornadoes girls basketball squad was dealt its third straight District 3-3A defeat Friday evening at Littlefield but Lamesa Coach Trenton Jones didn’t come home all that disappointed.
The short-handed Dawson Dragon girls basketball squad dropped their District 8-1A opener to Grady, 42-12, last Friday evening at Welch.
The Borden County Coyotes enjoyed their District 6-A basketball trip to O’Donnell last Friday night, sweeping a pair of games from the Eagles.
A strong start helped pave the way last Friday night at Wellman-Unjon for the Klondike Cougars, who thumped the Wildcats, 75-36, in their District 8-1A opener.
The Sands Mustangs are considered one of District 8-A girls’ basketball frontrunners again this winter.
• If you lose a contact lens, you can try turning off the lights and using a flashlight held perpendicular to the floor.
