A Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) official educated Lamesa school board members Thursday about the agency’s process in helping schools search for and hire a new superintendent.
North Elementary School third graders Amora Rios, 8, and Celeste Gonzales, 8, enjoy a reward for collecting cans of food for distribution to local residents Sunday by the Kingdom Culture Ministries. One class each from the third, fourth and fth grades were rewarded with root beer and Coke oats with vanilla ice cream in the school cafeteria Friday afternoon for collecting the most cans in their grades. Students collected a total of 1,034 cans.
