So far, seven of the 16 board members of the Electric Reliability Council of Texas have resigned. CEO Bill Magness defended ERCOT’s decision to order widespread blackouts while testifying before a joint hearing of two state House committees last week.
Honor roll students in the Klondike school system have been announced for the fourth six-week grading period.
SNYDER– Scurry County Judge Dan Hicks issued a disaster declaration last week for the county after the previous week’s winter storms.
ANDREWS – Consider them the fast and furious. In two days, Permian Regional Medical Center (PRMC) and the health department combined to administer somewhere in the vicinity of between 1,000 and 2,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses.
SEMINOLE – The South Plains Public Health District (SPPHD) in Seminole, with assistance from the Seminole Emergency Medical Services, administered 450 doses of the COVID vaccine during their mobile clinic Feb. 24.
BROWNFIELD - It is not uncommon to hear stories about residents all over Texas complaining about high energy bills after the winter storm. The storm left many without power and water, and for those who were lucky enough to have power to keep warm, a ridiculously high energy bill.
