First we all measured this situation by days and then by weeks and now the days string together and I’m not always sure if it is Tuesday or Wednesday. By now, we are seasoned pandemic participants. These have been trying times for everyone. The COVID-19 virus might have changed the way school systems are forced to operate, but it has not dampened our spirits towards our students. Our Special Education Team (as well as every teacher and department in Lamesa ISD) is hard at work every day coming up with ways to try to make this time less stressful on you as a parent and impactful and effective for your students.

My desk faces the window and that is where I spend most of my time. I spend about as much time at my desk as I do in my bed which is, conveniently located about thirty feet away. It’s a pretty short commute and there’s rarely traffic. Occasionally, my husband Peter might be coming or going from the bathroom, but that’s about it.
