Once upon a time, it was considered “out there,” with few amenities desired by the comfy tourists.The development of Terlingua, Lajitas, and Study Butte has increased the lodging, trailer camping, restaurants and touring companies.The Rio Grande water levels are perpetually low making whitewater rare and many of the would be tours scaled down to Hot Spring or Colorado Canyon.
