Dean Richardson

Carol Dean Richardson went home to be with Our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, February 14, 2023.
    He was born on June 4, 1948 in Seminole, Texas to Hiram Travis and Christine Richardson. He was raised and educated in Seminole, Texas where he graduated from Seminole High School.
    He is preceded in death by his daughter Treva Kohn, parents Hiram Travis and Christine Richardson, as well as elder brother Travis Wendell Richardson.
    Dean worked for the Texas Highway Patrol and UPS.  He was a devout man and enjoyed singing in the church choir.  He also had a passion for tennis and shared that with his daughters.
    He made sure his children knew their grandparents.  His daughter fondly remembers spending summers in Big Spring, Texas learning to love tennis and watching Wimbledon with their father.  Dean would drive his daughters to grab a truck full of watermelons from his dad’s farm and they would share with church friends.  These and other warm memories were shared by his daughter Tyra in remembrance of her father.
Dean was a loving son, brother, father and devout Christian. 
    He was laid to rest on Friday, February 17, 2023 at Lamesa Memorial Park Cemetery next to his parents and elder brother.
    Survivors include his daughter Tyra Denise Richardson of Branson, Missouri, grandson Trent Adric Kohn of Oak Point, Texas, sister Mary Nell Lewis of Federal Way, Washington, and brother Dennis Richardson of Richardson, Texas.
