Lamesa ISD board members discussed construction in the school district, high school graduation and more at their meeting this past Tuesday night. Superintendent Jim Knight told the board members that Hellas Construction, which will redo the school’s track and football field, will begin preliminary work for those projects on April 18. Construction workers will start using tape to mark the track and football field as off limits before they start digging up the ground to begin work.
