Sands, O'Donnell school districts, O'Donnell city elections

The ballots are set for three area entities – Sands Consolidated Independent School District in Ackerly, O’Donnell ISD and the City of O’Donnell – on May 8.

Michelle Zant is the only incumbent from the Sands Consolidated ISD to have filed papers for re-election to the school board.

Joining her as candidates on the ballot for two places on the school board will be Michael Wigington, Nate Avey, Jody Howard, Blayne Archuleta, Nelda Saldivar-Franco and Matt Snell.

Sands Consolidated ISD current board President Stan Blagrave chose not to seek re-election.

Five newcomers and one incumbent have filed for three spots on the O’Donnell ISD board of trustees.

Randy Cook, Kirby Williams, Jerry Castro, Billy Edwards and Missy Jaquess all have filed as candidates for the May election.
