Bairrington, Smith named to vacancies on Chamber board

Mar 10, 2010 Kim Bairrington and Shanna Smith formally were elected this week to fill two vacancies on the board of directors of the Lamesa Area Chamber of Commerce.
Board members met at 12 noon Monday in the Presidents Room of the Chamber and voted in favor of the new directors.
President-elect Bryan Nowlin presided over that board meeting in the absence of President Allean Jasmin.
Stephen McAdams, executive vice president of the Chamber, reported that the annual banquet had total income of more than $8,000, including donations by Atmos and Parkhill, Smith and Cooper. Following all expenses, he said, the Chamber should have around $1,000 in profit from the banquet.
McAdams also said he had accepted the only quote received by the Chamber for a professional fireworks display for the Independence Day celebration. He said that quote was the same as last year and from the same company.
Vendor applications for spaces at Forrest Park during the Independence Day celebration will be available next week, McAdams said.
