Traffic Signals In Place

| Traffic signal lights were installed this week at the intersection of U.S. Highway 87 (Lubbock Highway) and North 22nd Street in Lamesa. Ricky Lawrence, TxDOT engineering specialist IV with the Traffic and Signals division in Lubbock, said plans were for the lights to be set to flash on Wednesday and they would remain that way until Monday, March 22, which is the scheduled date for the lights to become fully operational. He said temporary sign boards also were to be put into place along those roadways on Wednesday, alerting motorists when the lights are to become operational. (LPR Photo) |
